There will be those who will direct hate mail at me for saying this, but I've bought and tried a set of R-PIs once, quite cool at first, but there is absolutely nothing of value (ie that needs to be known to pass a GCSE or A level in CS) that can't be done on a common-or-garden standard PC. Great for hobbyists and clubs, yes, but a waste of setup & learning time (for the teacher anyway) in the classroom. Absolutely right too, in getting those GCSE topics right from Year 7. Scratch is done to death at primary, no point in repeating the same lessons at secondary. Best advice I can offer is save yourself countless hours at home by investing in a set of KS3/4/5 resources. I argued the case at an inner-city school where I took over a failing department, and simply asked for the money (ie around £2K) to buy a complete set of resources from PG Online. They said yes, I got the resources, kids got great lessons, I got my weekends back. Craig N Dave are also invaluable for KS4/5, well worth the annual subscription, and teach-ict worth a look too for useful worksheets. Thanks for the LBOA - brilliant!Daren Craddockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10188332783704224857noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8360684861251257805.post-86631997480339129522017-09-27T05:48:23.038-07:002017-09-27T05:48:23.038-07:00The planning from curricular to finance of compute...The planning from curricular to finance of computer department is great and well organized.
